Empowering Patients: The Magnolia Purpose in Planning Program

April 15, 2025 April is National Healthcare Decisions Month and April 16 is National Healthcare Decisions Day, a time to encourage thoughtful health care and end-of-life planning. To support this, we're spotlighting our partner Magnolia Purpose in Planning , which offers valuable resources for those impacted by a life-altering illness to help facilitate crucial conversations about health care preferences.

What is the Magnolia Purpose in Planning® Program?

The Magnolia Purpose in Planning® program in partnership with Triage Cancer , Triage Health , Cancer Care and Eisai, is designed to provide comprehensive support to individuals and families navigating the complexities of cancer, Alzheimer's disease, and related dementias. This program offers access to financial, legal, and advance care planning resources, helping patients and their loved ones make informed decisions about their future.

A Personal Story: Jane's Journey

Jane, a breast cancer survivor, found herself overwhelmed by the myriad of decisions she needed to make following her diagnosis. From treatment options to financial planning, the stress was immense. That's when she discovered the Magnolia Purpose in Planning program. With the support of the program, Jane was able to:
  • Connect with financial advisors to manage treatment costs.
  • Create a living will and designate a healthcare proxy.
  • Find peace of mind through structured planning.
Jane's story is a testament to the power of having a coordinated plan and the reassurance it can bring during such challenging times. By highlighting the importance of advance care planning and providing access to essential resources, we can support patients in making empowered decisions about their healthcare journey.
